Description
I'm a female massage and cupping Therapist, fully insured and qualified.
During dry cupping suction is done by removing air or by heating. It then creates a suction effect that draws the blood back up, leaving circular marks on the skin. Medically, hijama is used for an array of medical conditions including fevers, chronic low back pain, indigestion, poor appetite, high blood pressure, even infertility.
How often should I perform Hijama? We suggest you perform Hijama 2-3 times a year. It's an excellent detox for your body. If your therapist finds high levels of toxins coming out, they may suggest placing you on a detox program of performing Hijama once a month for 3 months consecutively.
Here are some benefits that cupping can have for you and back pain:
It decompresses the area
Stretches the fascia, tissues and muscles
Increases circulation and metabolic response
Breaks through tightness and restricted areas
Loosens up the back and increases range of motion
Adding wet cupping therapy (hijama) to it adds a GREATER benefit by removing stagnated blood, reducing inflammation and excess waste within the area which decreases the recovery time. Hijama replenishes new cells which starts repairing the body sooner.
If you experience back pain get in touch and see how we can help as each persons pain is different and needs a tailored approach.
